Town Park Project

In the 1990's a group of Palmyra citizens formed the Palmyra Park Boosters Club and were dedicated to raising funds for the development of the Palmyra Town Park. Through much hard work and many fundraisers, the committee members and volunteers were able to raise enough money to purchase a play system, benches, and picnic tables; install a basketball court, ice skating rink, and horseshoe pits; construct an outhouse and a parking lot; and much more.

Some of original club officers included Donna Perkins, Debbie Fletcher, Paulette Robinson, Arlene Batchelder, Juanita Robinson, Eleanor Flood, and Priscilla Jones (and many volunteers).

The Palmyra Park Boosters Club has recently been reactivated and we would like to continue the good work that the original members had started.

We have begun by removing the old play system (which served our children for many years). We are in hopes of having a new system installed by the end of summer.

Other short-term goals include installing a new ice-skating rink and repairing the basketball court.

You will be able to track our progress on this site.
