TOWN WARRANT
SPECIAL TOWN MEETING
TOWN OF PALMYRA
State of Maine County of Somerset

To Diane White, resident of Palmyra in said county,
Greetings:
In the name of the State of Maine, you are hereby required to notify and warn the inhabitants of Palmyra, qualified to vote in town affairs, to assemble at the Palmyra Community Center in Palmyra on Wednesday,
June 26, 2024 at 7:00 p.m., then and there to act on the following, to wit:

Art. 1 To elect a moderator by written ballot to preside at said meeting.

Art. 2 To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate an additional $10,000 for Solid Waste
Disposal. Insufficient funds were raised at the Annual Town Meeting.

Art. 3 To see if the Town will vote to rescind its approval at the Annual Town Meeting on March 9, 2024,
of Article 42 appropriating $100,000 of Local Rescue Funds for a Solar Project.

Art. 4 To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate $100,000 for a Solar Project with the
understanding that the project will be performed with adequate engineering.

Art. 5 To see if the Town will vote to amend Article 44, that was approved at the Annual Town
Meeting on March 9, 2024 and instead vote to appropriate $96,000 of Local Rescue Funds
for projects at the Town Park (rather than raise and appropriate these funds as was originally
approved).

Town Park Project

Town Meeting

The Town of Palmyra has Select Board /Town Meeting form of government. It has a five-member Board, who are elected for staggered three-year terms. Elections take place the day before the Annual Town Meeting which is held the second Saturday in March.
